It’s about damn time we record a podcast all about vegan protein, eh?!
I suppose I just figured that it’s a topic we beat to death (on the internet and in the “real world.”) At least it is for me as a vegan trainer and nutrition coach surrounded by meat-eating gym bros 24/7.
But after connecting with local vegan dietitian Susan MacFarlane here in Ottawa and shooting the shit with her about the many myths and stereotypes surrounding being a “healthy vegan,” I knew we had to have her on the podcast and tackle the biggest misconception of all aka our apparent lack of muscle-building protein, bruh! 🙂
As you can imagine, it turned into our longest podcast episode yet (almost 50 minutes!) But we did cover all kinds of hot topics from our fave vegan protein sources to soy, seitan, eating disorders and man boobs!
If you’ve ever wondered just how much protein you **should** be eating or what ideal protein requirements are for vegan athletes vs. sedentary vegans, this is a must-listen episode!
And for anyone interested in playing our #WeekofFarts photo sharing game on instagram and twitter, be sure to hashtag #WeekofFarts and #JackedontheBeanstalk when you post your fartiest, high protein vegan meals.
Here is my first submission to give you some fart-spiration:
Vegan protein and farts?! Oh yes! You definitely don’t wanna miss this insightful podcast episode, folks. And you don’t even have to be a meatless meathead to appreciate this interview with Susan either. Although Arnold Schwarzenegger does make a special guest appearance. 😉
